Feel yourself back again, and breathe!

Rediscover Real Connection: The Power of Breathwork and Presence

We live in a time where almost everything happens through a screen. We work, learn, even love online. Convenient? Absolutely. Cliché? Also true. And yet, it’s worrying. Because a text message with a heart emoji or a virtual hug can never replace the warmth of real arms around you, the heartbeat of someone close, or the energy that flows when you meet face to face and feel seen, connected, alive.

And sometimes, that isn’t possible. I live here, and they live there. As a Dutch woman living in Spain with my family and friends far away, I feel it every time. We all do. A screen can never replace real human connection. As Max Strom beautifully says:

“When we meet face to face, something changes. Our breath slows. The body remembers how to rest. Even silence feels different when it is shared. These moments remind us that we don’t have to carry life alone — presence itself can be healing.”

How to Reconnect with Yourself — The Simple Way

Years ago, when my heart was grieving, when the emptiness felt overwhelming and I was just surviving, I discovered the power of the breath.

Breathing may be the simplest, yet most powerful way to reconnect with yourself. Your breath is always there — whether you feel joyful, sad, or exhausted.By breathing consciously, you move from your head to your heart, from chaos to calm.

And that’s where it starts — right through the discomfort and resistance. The longing to feel again. To be in your body, to breathe deeply, and to live in the present moment.

What The Breath Moment is about

At The Breath Moment, it’s not about perfect poses or performance.

It’s about feeling, experiencing, and being — exactly as you are, in whatever is present right now.

Through movement and breath, we slow down and give space to what’s been held inside. The beautiful part is: your body already knows the way. You only need to listen. To be. Even if it’s just for a few minutes.

You don’t need to be 'zen' to start

For beginners, this can feel new or even uncomfortable. You might think: I’m not flexible enough, or I can’t quiet my mind, I’ll get restless.

But that’s exactly when you’re most welcome.

Yoga and breathwork are not goals — they are tools to help you reconnect with the here and now. Not abstract or mystical, but deeply tangible. Try it for yourself in a session, and you’ll feel it.

The beauty of yoga and breathwork is that you don’t need to know how to do anything. You simply have to show up — just as you are. The rest unfolds naturally, one breath at a time.
